Abstract
Renal transplantation is the treatment of choice in management of patients with end stage renal disease. We have experienced the 2 cases of renal transplantation with complications successfully managed by medical treatment. One case of erythrocytosis and another case of severe, recurrent acute graft rejection were observed respectively and recovered by medical management. In all cases, triple immunosuppressive agents(prednisolone, azathioprine and cyclosporine) was administerd. In the first case, 54 days later after transplantation, the hematocrit of the patient has risen to 57£¥. With 2 trials of phlebotomy, hematocrit became to 48% 141 days later and persisted below the level of 48£¥ after that titrate. In the second case, during 2 weeks after operation, there were 2 episodes of severe, acute rejections. With aggressive steroid pulse therapy, these rejection episodes were managed without renal dysfunction. We report the 2 cases of renal transplantation with complications successfully managed by medical treatment.
